Life at Selby General is like most hospitals I would assume. Dedicated professionals delivering great patient care to people at the worst moments of their lives. Sometimes long hours and not enjoying the best results. Nevertheless, every day we got up to do it again. I imagine that in today’s environment it may be even tougher to deliver quality patient care when the future of the healthcare system is so uncertain. However, I enjoyed the work because I believed I could make a difference. I wanted to help the people on the front lines be their best, have the best equipment so their patients could go back to their homes, and live a normal life. I found my participation in the healthcare industry very rewarding.
