Select Computing was founded in March of 1996 by Rashid Ishaq. After spending two years working for a local Minneapolis IT consulting firm, Mr. Ishaq, at the age of 25, decided it was time to make the move into the entrepreneur's realm. Securing a few contracts for quality assurance work and software applications, he began working out of his home and – more... even sold his car to make his first payroll.
In its first year SCI tripled in size and revenue as it continued to grab a piece of the IT pie. Select Computing added more consultants in numerous IT solution fields to handle a wide variety of clients, from small business entrepreneurs, to Fortune 1000 companies. Under Mr. Ishaq's leadership, the company has become a successful and fast-growing information technology solution provider. SCI now has offices in Minneapolis, MN and Columbia, MD.
