I loved working here
Caregiver (Former Employee), Greenfield, INNovember 12, 2014
Pros: caring employer, great clients
Cons: the hours weren't always enough
I really enjoyed the staff from the office. They were fair employers. I always felt valued and I also felt the clients were put above the company. The only downside to this employer is that there are not always hours available to fit your schedule. That was my issue, but I also would only travel so far, I think there may have been more for me if I could – more... have went farther away. – less

Horrible Owner
caregiver (Former Employee), Portland, OROctober 27, 2014
Pros: client care
Cons: owner
Staffing, meeting / assisting clients.... In other words "the job" is great for those who enjoy this type of work, very rewarding! The owner of this particular location is anything but rewarding! Very rude, aggressive & not ideal especially for a field that is based on caring & compassion...very disappointing & unnerving to say the least!!

The Feel Good Job of my life!
Senior Caregiver (Current Employee), Akron, OHAugust 19, 2014
Pros: making my clients smile, knowing i made their day special!
Cons: dealing with my one client when she has manic episodes.
This kind of job is one that gives you the greatest feeling of being able to help someone in the end stages of their life. Whether it is helping them get out of bed in the morning and eating their meals, or using the toilet, these senior citizens are so grateful for the kindness and devotion that we give to these wonderful people daily. I have 2 clients – more... that I care for on a full time basis. One needs ambulatory care, and the other is able to walk, but with assistance for the most part. Keeping them smiling, feeling good about themselves and sharing your day with them makes those senior citizens glad that you are with them. What other way to brighten your own day than to make someone else's day something special. It's a feel good job! – less

Returned to next client, if wet, they were cleaned and dried, protective skin cream – more... applied where need. Hearing aids and glasses for both clients are on and in place. Cook breakfast: Set the table pour beverages etc. The clients needs for me to be there to help with things they can't provide for themselves. They appreciate it. I learned to help them keep their dignity as such they NEED THAT! Some communication gap at times.I worked well with. they gave good reports by mouth, but not in writing. I didn't find my job hard at all, but it does make a difference if your schedule is being switched around and you not be in formed in time of it. Holding hands with my clients, singing with them and their extended family. knowing that they feeling well before I let them and knowing that I've done my very best for them. – less
