ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER

Serendipity Maui, a well-established lady clothing company with 4 locations Island-wide, is seeking Assistant General Manager.

Overview:
The Assistant General Manager functions as a support to the General Manager on all levels. This requires the Assistant General Manager to assist in overseeing all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the company and staff.

Must have minimum of 2 years experience in Retail Management and prior HR experience. Must be proficient in EXCEL. Must be able to use PUBLISHER or similar program. Must be extremely organized and able to multi-task.

Must have good leadership and management skills, business communication skills, etc. Job requires Assistant General Manger to be a quick, but cognitive thinker and decision maker.

Assistant General Manager will be required to maintain a flexible schedule that allows for availability in emergency situations that require your assistance or your presence. Must have flexibility in schedule to attend managers meetings, store and mall meetings and assist in special events. Hours and schedule will vary based on company needs. Minimum of 40- 45 hours weekly.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Leadership, Training and Staff Supervision:
Promote a positive and motivating sales environment
Assist in hiring, training and mentoring employees
Trouble shooting operational, customer service and staffing issues
Ability to communicate effectively with fellow employees,
management, customers using both verbal and written skills.

Visual Merchandising:
Conduct regular store visits (island wide) to insure that visual merchandising
and company standards are met.
Suggest and assist in implementing all aspects to enhance and improve
store visuals.

Inventory:
Maintain tracking on markdowns and store inventory needs and report
findings to the GM
Assist managers in maintaining accuracy in inventory and minimize loss.

Marketing:
Assist the General Manager in all aspects of marketing including fashion
shows, photo shoots and store promotions.

Assist the General Manager in all aspects of HR including:
Liaison between the employees and the General Manager
Insurance Enrollment
Conflict resolution
Scheduling
Employee start up documents
