For more than fifty years, SERRV has been promoting social and economic progress in developing regions of the world. We work exclusively through community-based organizations that represent low-income handcraft producers and smaller farmers in more than 30 developing regions of the world. Our most visible program involves creating an "alternative" market in the USA for our producers' products through our national network of local volunteers, churches, and small stores. We also market directly to concerned individuals through our catalog of fairly-trade products and this web site.
However, SERRV offers support to our community-based partners in a number of other highly-practical ways including product design, no-interest advances (loans), training, access to other marketing opportunities, business training, and small grants.
