Was great in the beginning. Great environment, opportunity to make money, and great people. Purchased by IAC and atmosphere changed drastically and was offered a better position at a competing company. Management at company was tough to deal with and sometimes inexperienced in their positions.

Pros: great hours, good pay, good benefits.
Cons: too much pressure at times
We sold targeted leads to contractors across the U.S. I learned how to navigate every states web site looking for contractors licensing and insurance info. I learned how to sell our program and enroll a contractor at the same time. I had to get billing info and legal recording of enrollment. A typical day at work was calling leads that came in untill – more...  one answered, then selling ServiceMagic. We typically made 150 to 200 calls a day. I loved selling the program, but hated "chasing down" contractors to get the sale or information needed to finish enrollment. The hardest part of that position was making the sales quota, to contractors all over the U.S. that were going broke because of the economy. The manangers were good people that wanted you to succeed. They were typical managers where quotas and numbers were concerned. – less
