Sales Support Coordinator (Former Employee), Denver, CO – May 11, 2012
Well a day in this position was lack of management and direction. The position was very demanding as I was supporting to different "teams" and was being pulled in either direction at any given time. Other co-workers were supportive and helpful.
I have learned all aspects of the Mail Center eighty percent.
Mail Clerk (Current Employee), Washington, DC – April 23, 2012
Pros: i have always learned at a fast pace, and an inept thinker.
Productive and fun workplace and management is professional most of the time. I came to Service Source to update my skills of the Mailroom Servicing, I was a Supervisor for the FBI for twelve years and I came to this Company because I was told that my efforts would be noticed, and I would obtain a Supervisory position, I have applied for three positions – more... and two of the positions I never got a interview. I have exceeded all of my goals set for me by my Supervisor and still waiting for the opportunity. In December I will be at Service Source Department of Transportation location and still waiting for a chance to advance thank you. – less
Dining facility attendant at Fort Carson (Former Employee), Colorado Springs, CO – March 24, 2012
Pros: good pay
Cons: dishonest management and supervisors, hostile work environment
The people running this office are horrible at communicating with employees. The "two-hour orientation" I attended became a 4+ hour orientation, making me late for another appointment I had that day. I was called to the office to begin training, only to arrive and be told training would happen on another day (This happened twice.) The uniform I was – more... given was 3 sizes too big because the company didn't have one in my size. I was told a uniform in my size would be ordered, but it never was. One of the supervisors regularly demeans and insults the employees. Also, I was repeatedly told I would work at least 90 days, then be evaluated for a permanent position. I was laid off after only 30 days. I was told the layoffs were due to staff cuts, but an employment counselor I work with was (falsely) told that I became stressed out by the work. This is not true. I was stressed out by the constant last-minute schedule changes, lack of communication and verbal abuse I was subjected to. One other nitpick I have (which isn't entirely the company's fault) is the fact that the lunch/dinner served at Fort Carson's dining halls isn't always ready when the meal breaks begin. Employees often have to wait 10-15 minutes before the food is ready and a server is available (in a 30-minute break.) – less
