Flexible part-time work
Retail Merchandiser (Current Employee) –  Raleigh, NCDecember 18, 2016
Set and Service has flexible positions that allow employees to choose which projects they wish to sign up for. They work on a points system, so the more jobs completed, the more points earned. The more points earned, the greater the chance of being assigned the projects applied for. They also allow the employee to request a higher wage or travel incentive when signing up for a project which encourages applying for jobs further from home. However, there is a down side. At certain times of the year, usually around the holidays, the work is very scarce and for this period of time, no new jobs are loaded into the system. When you are assigned jobs, it is usually with another person or persons from Set and Service along with a team from another company that is serving as the primary contractors on the project. Some projects may last a few hours while others can last weeks. Start times are always specified with no flexibility. Overall, it is a good part-time job to fill the gaps of other part-time positions one may have as you can choose the projects that best fit into your schedule.
Pros
Choose the projects you want.
Cons
No flexibilty on start times. Scarce work at certain times of the year.

this was a great job! Got the opportunity to travel the country and make money while doing so. Met some great people on other travel teams. Learned a lot about how retail stores function, all while working at a fast pace alongside and above others.

General Laborer (Current Employee) –  Raleigh, NCJune 27, 2016
fast paced environment but overall bearable for any typical worker. through SASR i've learned how to read and execute a planogram efficiently and with accuracy. The management and co-workers can be friendly. I would say the most hardest and enjoyable part about SASR is having to learn new things.
Pros
learning new things
Cons
different job sites

Overview of Job
Retail Broker - Retail Representative (Current Employee) –  Raleigh, NCJanuary 31, 2016
Work as an contractor. All jobs must be bid on and you are at the mercy of the scheduler. Job pay rates or low and sometimes you must travel some distance for the hourly rate with no travel per diem and for only 2 or 3 hours. No promotion, No guarantee of work. Client often cancels work and you are stuck without work.
Pros
None
Cons
No steady work, low pay rates and low hours.

Neat idea, not enough work cancel more than assign
Minion (Current Employee) –  Lexington, KYJanuary 6, 2016
You get to pick when an where. So thats good, but theres no pay in the mileage. They stop sending email notices randomly, they say first come but theyre screening who gets which. The dates you pick are always cancelled, maybe one out of 20 wont be. You cancel an get pointed, they cancel its just normal. Some of the leads are morons, ie kevin spauge. You spend all night moving heavy stuff to move it right back because their clueless af. You have those people that show up, but have nothing to work with an want to lose your stuff. Was fun to try, but a joke
Pros
Pick the dates an spots
Cons
The leads, the lack of work an all the cancelled jobs
