a good place to work crossing many situations tolearn from
Fitter (Former Employee), Derby – May 2, 2012
Pros: good wage and bonus scheme
Cons: working alone
i enjoyed my time at severn trent i learned to better my customer liasing skills and in some cases how to defuse a stressful situation. a normal day would consist of many appointments ranging from a new installation to maintenance or cold calls, i believe the hardest part of the job at times is keeping a calm reserved manor as some customers were extremely – more... intent on being unreasonable, and other times it was difficult as you work alone and its easy to become distracted. the most enjoyable part of the job for me was when a new fit goes very smooth and the customer was polite and friendly allowing the work to be done free of pressure and working in a calm manor mistakes are not made. the management were easy to get along with and i didnt hesitate to ask questions if i had any and they did their best to offer advice and or help if it was needed – less
