Shadow Mountain Behavioral Health System is a psychiatric hospital offering a comprehensive continuum of behavioral healthcare services including acute, residential, therapeutic foster care, school-based and outpatient programs for children, adolescents and their families. Although our patients have different issues, there are core components to the program that are consistent for all. Every patient receives a psychiatric evaluation, case management, and discharge planning as well as therapeutic services such as individual, group and family therapy. Other services include neurological evaluation, psychological evaluation, speech and language assessments, medical history, physical examination, medication management, dietary consultation, and an individualized treatment plan.
Shadow Mountain Behavioral Health System provides treatment for 196 inpatients in acute, residential and crisis stabilization with a wide variety of psychiatric disorders, including our locations at Sheridan (108), Riverside (60), and HOPE (12) in Tulsa, and our Eagle Creek (20) in Kansas, Oklahoma. We also provide Therapeutic Foster Care and Outpatient services. SMBHS provides emergency services at our ITS (8) program located within the Sheridan campus, and Swift Adoption services in the Oklahoma City area. We are committed to providing safe, secure, and nurturing environments. Our facilities include classrooms, gymnasium, children's playgrounds, football field, vegetable gardens and dining rooms.
Shadow Mountain has approximately 400 employees representing a wide variety of clinical, educational, and medical professions, including psychiatrists, psychologists, licensed professional counselors, licensed clinical social workers, registered nurses, master level teachers, special education teachers and other support staff.
