The flagship facility of Sharp HealthCare, the not-for-profit hospital has roughly 370 beds and is a designated trauma center for San Diego County. Specialties include cardiac care, women's health, multi-organ transplantation, and cancer treatment. It also provides skilled nursing, home health, and hospice services. Sharp Memorial Hospital first opened in 1955.
