Sales Person (Former Employee), Woodstock, VAOctober 26, 2014
Pros: decent pay
Cons: short breaks
Sheetz is a busy job. You are constantly moving on your feet helping customers whether it be through drive-thru, front register, or MTO. The job is very fun, especially the night shift. The co-workers are amazing and I always enjoyed working with them. The managers were just as fun to work with. The hardest part of the job is the rushes but the most – more... enjoyable is meeting new customers and making friends with fellow employees. – less

Working the on the P.O.S. (point of sale) is a lot easer then working in the M.T.O. (made to order), for some people. Some points are fast pace and some points are slow pace. Over all a good balance of pace. Clean Enviorment.

Customer Service/Cashier (Former Employee), PAOctober 8, 2014
Pros: a great job that did not feel like work, it was a happy place.
Cons: i didn't have any.
Operated a cash register, sold lottery tickets, assisted customers in pumping fuel, suggested sales for profit and balanced cash drawer,

I learned that a grand opening of a new store can be insanely exciting.

My manager was fantastic to work for and with. She kept all of the employees happy which made for an extremely wonderful work environment.

There – more... was nothing hard about my job. I had the occasional challenging customer but that was part of my job.

The best part of my 40 hour week was seeing all of my repeat customers and meeting new ones. The interaction between them and all of the employees was like a family in our small town. – less

Pros: halfoff food, coworkers.
Cons: short breaks, healthcare.
I get to work ready to go. Clock in and then wait on a hundred people or so all day. Have a break and then go back to work. When its time to go home I clock out and leave.

First-Line Supervisor of Retail Sales Workers (Current Employee), Lancaster, PASeptember 23, 2014
A typical day at Sheetz is usually very busy. It has taught me how to better balance time to take care of other manager responsibilities while still helping to make sure that customer service needs are being met. My co-workers are very hard working and seem to really enjoy working for this company. The hardest part of this job is keeping up with the – more... volume of service we do and doing all the tasks that needs done during a shift. The most enjoyable part of this job is the job security. – less

Shift Supervisor (Former Employee), Archdale, North CarolinaSeptember 15, 2014
Pros: good pay; fun place to work.
Cons: short breaks (20mins); open 365 days a year.
At sheetz everyday is a fast pace go all day kind of job. They are open 24 hours a day 7 days a week. They never close so there is always something to do. What I learned at Sheetz while working there is that it is important to know how to multitask. Sheetz is a high stress work place but the management was great to work for. They worked with you in – more... relation to your time off and personal matters very well. The co-workers were a fun loving group that became family very quickly. It was nice to develop relationship with such great people. The hardest part of the job was working over night. The most enjoyable part was the people you get to interact with everyday. The everyday customers that you developed relationships with became as close as the co-workers. – less

Assistant Store Manager (Current Employee), Raleigh, NCSeptember 12, 2014
A typical day at work includes ensuring all food service areas are clean and meet all food service guidelines. I learned that working next to an airport makes for a very busy work environment but it also taught me that I learn from the wide variety of people that I encounter daily. I enjoy being in management and I also enjoy working for my store manager – more... because he has helped to develop me as a manager. The hardest art of my job is recruiting people that want to stay with the company. The most enjoyable part of my job is the broad customer base I get to encounter. – less
