I found the place a great environment to work in until other employees start belittling your actions and they start micro-managing you. It left a very negative moral with your efforts feeling unimportant. I was hired and praised by a former supervisor who went to work at Sherrill when the previous company he worked for dissolved. I was told by many former co workers this boss thought a lot of my work ethics and he rehired me to start at Sherrill when I was looking for work. I learned a lot as quickly as I could but shown minimal requirements and then criticized when not done properly. When I found out the person I was hired to replace was NOT leaving the company after all, things became very difficult and stressful in the surrounding environment. Constant ridicule, and finger pointing with in your face contact, made me feel very inadequate and when I went to the boss whom admired my work ethics, suddenly a conflict arose and no improvement was made. I was praised I was doing a good job and I would be staying but the person became aggressive and I soon left the company unable to tolerate the constant "not good enough" according to some attitude. I loved the workplace environment of furniture industries and the fact that I had an important role to fulfill, I just could not compete against the previous persons 15 years of experience the way she wanted things done. I knew many people there- that was the best part of my job, and the respect that many others had given me with the understanding I had a tough role to fulfill. The environment was very busy but I liked the challenge and that I performed well under the best circumstances.
