Working with others
Key Holder/Sales Associate (Current Employee) –  Dyer, INMay 21, 2017
I truly enjoy working with our customers. Whether it's from picking out paint colors to just listening to them about something that is happening in their life.
I have learned so much with this company. Everyday there is something new to learn about products or the company advancing.
The staff is outstanding, everyone works well and really shows team work.

Fast paced and competitive place to work
Sales Associate (Former Employee) –  Norman, OKMay 21, 2017
It was not that bad if you were trained to deal with customers and get them the product they needed. However, this was sometimes difficult because there are so many product (paint), etc. that it was often difficult to keep up with the amount of customers that came into the store on a daily basis.

Can be fun if you have the right manager
Key Holder/Sales Associate (Current Employee) –  Jackson, MIMay 17, 2017
I used to love coming into work when I had a manager who cared about his employees and customers. That all changed when he left and another came in. My current manager is not prepared for this job and it's reflecting on our sales. It gets extremely stressful when you try and sell stuff to a customer and then to realize there is no more product in the store.
Pros
Good entry level job
Cons
Don't become key holder, you have more wokr but you don't get a raise.

Great place to work and build a career
Sales Assistant Store Manager (Former Employee) –  Huntingdon, PAMay 16, 2017
Sherwin overall was a great place to work, the cold calling got a little annoying but I understand why it was needed. It was a physically demanding job at times but their structure is great, just like their product. They have a successful business plan, you just have to believe in the process and you will do well and if you do well you move up quick, only left because of a competitive job offer closer to home.
Pros
Paint Discount, Advancement training, good 401k
Cons
Lead Gen Calls, Understaffed at times

The job environment is nice along with the customers but the manager is consistently inconsistent. Needs more managerial experience. Overall not bad the only quirk would be him.

Big company gives you lots of experience but you are shorthanded constantly
Management Trainee (Former Employee) –  West Chester, PAMay 15, 2017
If you don't mind working a minimum required 44 hours a week for an Assistant Manager, and 48 weekly required for a store manager this might be the place for you. If you can handle being the only person in the store for the majority of those hours.

great benefits
