Shoppers Drug Mart Corporation is a Canada-based company. The Company is the licensor of full-service retail drug stores operating under the name Shoppers Drug Mart (Pharmaprix in Quebec). During the fiscal year ended December 29, 2007 (fiscal 2007), there were 1,057 Shoppers Drug Mart/Pharmaprix retail drug stores owned and operated by the Company’s – more... licensees (Associates). It also offers a range of private label products marketed under the trademarks Life Brand, Quo, Everyday Market, Bio-Life, Nativa and Easypix, among others, and services, such as the HealthWATCH program and the Shoppers Optimum program. In fiscal 2007, the Company owned and operated 64 Shoppers Home Health Care stores. These retail stores are engaged in the sale and service of assisted-living devices, medical equipment, home-care products and mobility equipment to institutional and retail customers. The Company also owns MediSystem Technologies Inc., a provider of pharmaceutical products and services.
