Health Unit Coordinator and Telemetry Technician (Current Employee) – Somers Point, NJ – February 27, 2017
The day starts at 7:00 am and ends at 7:30 pm. It's a very long day.
The nursing staff that works in my unit is wonderful, really great people. However, it is a extremely high pace floor and it's a hard pace to keep for 12 hours. On top of that everyone on the unit is dealing with problems and some times the support is not there.
Management has recently switched over and the new manager is doing a wonderful job compared to the prior manager.
The most enjoyable part of my job is that I only had to work 3 days a week since they were 12 hour shifts that is considered full time.
I really enjoy the people I work with.
I also enjoy my job with the telemetry monitors (they are cardiac monitors where I watch people's cardiac rhythms). It constantly teaching me new things.
The hardest part of my job is dealing with family members of patients. Some times they can be extremely overbearing and some what rude.

Purchasing Assistant (Former Employee) – Somers Point, NJ – September 11, 2015
delivering products to all parts of the hospital in a timely manner,. I learned that working together with a consistence schedule made things easier. management was willing to always step in and help whenever we became overwhelmed. the hardest part was not getting personal with the patients of the hospital I mostly enjoyed being able to deliver materials in a timely manner to help the people in need
Medical Social Worker (Former Employee) – Somers Point, NJ – February 18, 2015
I enjoyed working with almost all of my co-workers & patients. The hardest part of the job was seeing patients discharged from the hospital due to insurance restrictions, not based on treatment progress.
Busy workload & daily routine, lunch room on premises, parking, close to home.
I totally enjoyed working at Shore. It was hard work but rewarding
Registered Nurse (Former Employee) – Somers Point, NJ – November 13, 2014
I worked at Shore for over forty years at different levels. I started as a volunteer and proceeded up the clinical ladder ending as a charge nurse in hemodialysis. I can honestly say I really enjoyed my work and still miss doing nursing. Now I volunteer for the American Red Cross and am a volunteer Obudsman for the institutional elderly for the state of New Jersey, but it's not the same as working. I look foreward to working again on a pen basis
