Everyone is passionate about their work and will above and beyond their current job to make sure nothing falls through the cracks. It is a collaborative atmosphere where people can grow and thrive.

Nice place to work in general
Customer Care Team Representative (Former Employee) –  Fort Mill, SCMarch 6, 2017
My employment with Shutterfly was seasonal; however it was a nice place to work in general. Co-workers and management were friendly and helpful. Company provided a decent wage, free beverages, several break areas (indoor and outdoor), and they try to show employee appreciation with lunches, rewards, and bonuses. I wouldn't have minded working in a permanent position.
Pros
hourly wages are fair, free beverages, friendly work environment
Cons
most positions are temporary

Machine Operator (Former Employee) –  Shakopee, MNFebruary 13, 2017
Managers don't really train you in, just throw you into a work station and expect you to figure out how to do the job. Frustrating job and things must be completed on time.
Pros
Free lunches
Cons
Good breaks

Great overall experience.
Warehouse Worker (Former Employee) –  Pineville, NCFebruary 9, 2017
Great climate control unlike other places I've worked. The managers/ shift leaders are very cool and uplifting, and break schedules are great. Long hours but the work was easy.

Digital Press Lead (Current Employee) –  Shakopee, MNFebruary 8, 2017
Bad managers, treat employees poorly and there is a lot of turnover in the company, If they could change they way they treat their employees it would be a different place to work.

Easy going and great communication with my supervisor
Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) –  Shakopee, MNFebruary 7, 2017
My supervisor at Shutterfly is probably the best supervisor I've had. He is easy-going, understandable and is very approachable when I had questions and needed answers. For being in the industry we were in, he was very level- headed when it came to our customers, which made it be so easy when customers asked to speak with a supervisor.

Cool People But Not Innovative
Content Marketing Specialist (Current Employee) –  Redwood City, CAFebruary 6, 2017
The work schedule was pretty flexible. Not much room for advancement in the company. Management and higher-ups are disorganized and constantly switch company directions without any real innovation at a product-level. Creative processes are also extremely corporate and there's not enough focus on keeping up with changing trends and competitors.

Shutterfly is okay, contracting is not
Customer Care Representative (Current Employee) –  Tempe, AZFebruary 2, 2017
I have no issues with shutterfly as a company, it's a fun environment and the managers take good care of you. I'm currently a contractor here and I have no security and you get no benefits which is a bummer

the hardest part of the job is trying to stay focused because they have so many temptations around that will make you want to just camp out there. no but seriously this company was the best warehouse that I have ever worked for in my entire life.

Production Lead (Former Employee) –  Fort Mill, SCJanuary 28, 2017
Long hours when peak season, tons of micromanagement, compensation is not what it should be for what they are asking. If you are young and qualified to work here, go to amazon instead. Its the same hard work for way more money.
Pros
Free drinks, excercise room, free products
Cons
Parking, long hours, temp workers during holiday season

Production Supervisor (Former Employee) –  Tempe, AZJanuary 23, 2017
Company has great ideals but the Management, cant see they run the facility horribly. The main issue is that management has created a place and position for everyone to effectively have two people. The figurehead of the position and then some random sheep to do his work. Who seems to be fired every year or so.
like this on every level. So nothing gets done
