Over all a great company to work for.
Forlift Operator (Current Employee) –  Plainfield, INJuly 25, 2016
Siemens healthcare is a climate controlled warehouse specializing in diagnostic testing reagents. The work day consist of picking and packing medical items for costumers in a range of temperatures. They offer amazing benefits and a friendly work environment. Not a job for the weak, heavy lifting is sometimes required and tolerance for cold temperatures. Over all a great company to work for.

Senior Engineer/Project Manager (Current Employee) –  Tarrytown, NYJuly 5, 2016
Clean work environment. Pipeline has great long term potential and well positioned in the life science space. Inexperienced workforce and office space silos creates an environment where young potential wants to "graze" rather than "grow".
Pros
Free coffee
Cons
Poor structure, transparency

Manufacturing Technician Level 3 (Former Employee) –  Brookfield, CTJune 5, 2016
Due to closing of site work environment was unpleasant. During my time there I learned about LEAN and was introduced to the SAP system. Other employees were friendly though some had to be avoided due to strong opinions.

R&D (Current Employee) –  NYMay 25, 2016
Certain departments have a great work life balance. Managers allow employees to work from home in certain situations. Other departments not so much. You put in long hours and often work weekends.

Not a good Company anymore
Customer Account Specialist II (Current Employee) –  Cary, NCMay 24, 2016
This company use to be a great place to work, you had people who cared about there employee and the job. Now everyone try and save there own buts it's not about the employees anymore. In order to have a successful company your employee's the people you run the company have to feel needed and wanted and feel that their management team have there back not only when things are good, but also when mess hits the fan. They have no clue about work life balance slave drivers. Give you more and more and more never stop to ask any questions.

Customer Care Coordinator (Former Employee) –  Cary, NCMay 23, 2016
Although this was temporary assignment, I enjoyed working there.
Nice work environment, flexible schedule. Managers and co workers are pleasant and willing to assist in any manner. The hardest part of my job was the room temperature. Where I worked at was very chilly but I drank a lot of tea and coffee.
Pros
Great Pay
Cons
Short term assignment

SAP Technical Lead/Technical Solution Architect (Current Employee) –  Malvern, PAApril 7, 2016
Very structured. High quality products.
(perhaps too structured).

Very proud to be part of a company that provides the highest quality products.

We often have to work very long hours to make sure everything is perfect.

Depending on the department, sometimes, it can be hard to advance your career.

Flexible work environment.
Pros
Siemens strives to provide the Best Quality Products
Cons
Too Structured.

Great Entry level position
Biochemist (Current Employee) –  Walpole, MAApril 4, 2016
Siemens was my first job out of school. It has good entry level jobs; but learning and career development is close to non existent. Upper management is not involved with lower tiered employees and many aren't too concerned with the daily tasks involved to satisfy customer orders.

It is a frustrating environment to work in. There is a general lack of motivation and complacency.

It is a good place to start to determine a career path, but any development is best done outside the company.
Pros
entry level experience
Cons
No career development

Siemens AG is an excellent company with very high Integrity
Customer Service Engineer II (Former Employee) –  Memphis, TNMarch 31, 2016
My career lasted 7 years and in that time I can honestly state that the company's vision and action level towards the Field service group is the worst that I have ever encountered, especially in the Memphis, Tn. area. After 3 managers in that time period, a total of 8 engineers including myself either left the company or were put under such unbearable circumstances that anything close to total job satisfaction were unachievable. The company continually allows sub-par performance of routine and regular Planned maintenance and encourages the use of Remote diagnostics and or trying to talk the
customer into accepting service outside of their contracted agreements in lieu of actually travelling to the site when the customer calls for help. Current management in the Memphis, Tn.
area is solely responsible for all of the 8 engineers who have now left in a 3 year period Another FSE position has been placed on long term disability and that position has been placed on hold which further creates quality and response issues for the customers in the area of coverage. I am deeply concerned for the safety and work life balance for all the engineers who are currently working in the area but more so, the large scale affect this is having on the customers who have put their trust in Siemens instruments which they use to provide Healthcare to the general population.

Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics is truly fortunate to have Great Field Service Engineers who still continue to work for them in the Mid South area.
Pros
High amount of income from overtime and On call pay
Cons
Required travel pay exclusion 45 min before 8 AM and after 5 PM, regular denial of vacation and PTO time.

Customer Care Coordinator (Former Employee) –  Cary, NCMarch 18, 2016
Job as a Coordinator is spent on the phone speaking with field service engineers--scheduling their various service calls with medical equipment. The routine begins mundane, and the best part of the job is helping solve service situations, in order for the hospitals to run at full speed.

Scientist (Current Employee) –  Elkhart, INMarch 2, 2016
It's nice to work for Siemens as it has a great reputation. It is not great to work at such a small site. The employees there feel like they are always on the edge of being shut down. Too many older employees need to retire.
