The Logistics Specialists provides unit, intermediate, and depot level parts and supply support for Contractor Logisitics Support (CLS) programs. Responsibilities include; monitoring loans for internal and external customers, maintenance of inventory records along with spares and repair information in the Big Safari Inventory (BSI) and M3 maintenance system, conducts physical inventories, manages the Due-In-From-Maintenance (DIFM) program, manages the Document Control program, manages the Mission Support Kits (MSK) program, and arranges transportation/distribution actions.

Inventory Records/ Documentation:
Maintains documentation required for the management of government assets. Enters data and utilizes the BSI system to track and maintain accurate inventories. Coordinates supply action entries necessary for entry into M3.
Provides assistance in the management of unit loaned equipment. Processes request for mission support assets and monitors/tracks assets during deployments. Supports the management of loan accounts with vendors. Coordinates repair/purchases of supported assets with buyer/planner. Determines parts requirements and develops provisioning documentation.
Determines support equipment, including AGE requirements:
Assists in and/or determination for spares provisioning, support equipment requirements and reliability and maintainability analyses. Manages the DIFM program to ensure assets are returned and processed in accordance with directives. Manages the Document Control program. Manages the MSKs if applicable to ensure they are maintained at a 100% fill-rate. Provide repair parts/core exchange support to maintenance activities. Coordinates with maintenance activities on repairable component actions. Obtains material required for equipment modification, periodic component exchange, and bills of material in support of maintenance. Inspects and identifies property. Inspects conditions of property received. Compares property with procurement specifications. Performs functional check/calibration inspections of stock. Tracks shelf life. Issues and transfers property. Issues, ships, or transfers property from issue, shipping, or transfer destination points through coordination with customers. Controls issue of classified sensitive and controlled items, obtaining custody or document receipts. Compiles data for storage and occupancy planning reports. Pulls, issues, and bins property.
Support and Test equipment:
Warehouses, inventories, provides disposition to customer and vendors, updates customer/Dir of Maintenance on test equipment calibration schedule.
Packaging, handling, storage and transportation (PHS&T):
Ensures assets are protected, packaged correctly, stored, inventoried in accordance with proper procedures when maintaining government furnished equipmen/purchased material. Plans and procures by the fastest most economical means of transportation to support customer requirements. Conducts warehouse validations; ensure each assigned location is valid, contains the correct part(s), and that all assets are properly identified and labeled with the correct condition tag according to all directives. Responsible for conducting and reporting of Inventory, Property, and "Bailed" property records and systems. Responsible for processing discrepant materiel (MDR/QDR). Coordinates with customers, Quality Assurance, buyers, planners, and vendors on disposition.
Supports Program Managers with logistics proposal preparation, pricing and negotiations, as required. Supports training initiatives for logistics specific training, as required. Provides after hour support as needed. Ability to lift up to 70 lbs, work on your knees, bend, crouch, and reach over your head. Punctuality to work each day and prepared to work scheduled work hours.
