Registered nurse
Registered Nurse (Former Employee) –  New YorkMarch 29, 2016
I have worked for sisters of charity hospital and found that the recent change in management in the last year has led to many, many employees being unhappy with the environment as a whole. Employees receive little respect from upper management, medical surgical director to be more specific. The work load for one nurse is very unrealistic as the nurse to Patient ratio is unsafe and you feel your license is in jeopardy everyday. If you are not in management and you voice your opinion to problems or concerns you fear retaliation in the form of being fired. I do not recommend working here.

Cardiovascular Sonographer Student (Current Employee) –  Buffalo NYMarch 15, 2014
In the cardiology department , its fast paced and the day goes by quickly. A sonographer typically perform 5-10 echo's per day . Ive learned alot about the heart and its function. The management is also great in the department. The cardiologist are full of knoweldge and are always teaching the sonographers. In the cardiology department the co-workers are a team. We are all there to help one another. The hardest part of the job is at times it can get extremely busy but we all pull together to get the work done. The best part of the job is making a difference in the patients lives and seeing them get better
Pros
great staff
