SiteLab Interactive is seeking an experienced on-site, full-time Senior Marketing Manager to help maintain our position as a leader in social media marketing. The position will be responsible for managing an internal team of community managers through various social and digital operations, providing social media strategy for clients and creating content to be used online. This is a fast-paced position with growth potential at a leading interactive agency steps from the beach in La Jolla Shores.

The ideal candidate has past experience working in an agency environment and has an interest in the healthcare, biotech, and/or government marketing industries.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Mentor and develop a growing social media team
  • Develop and implement creative and highly measurable social media programs and campaigns, with user engagement and experience in mind
  • Manage resources, budgets, and timelines for social media accounts accurately and efficiently
  • Work closely with clients and account teams to lead the development of social media programs and strategies
  • Advocate for the social team internally, and keep the integrated agency team informed, focused and enthused about the work and the business
  • Lead and actively contribute to a strategic and efficient content management plan
  • Understand, analyze and document strategic initiatives
  • Oversee social media activities for multiple clients, while coordinating with SiteLab team members for campaign planning and execution
  • Monitor effective benchmarks for measuring the impact of social media programs and analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results
  • Monitor trends in social media tools, trends, and applications. Share feedback and insights gained from social media monitoring with the team, to help them evolve their strategies in a timely fashion


  • 5+ years digital marketing experience; Minimum of 3 years focused on social media
  • 3+ years of experience directly managing and growing a team
  • Agency experience a must
  • Strong experience in implementing social media programs in key social platforms, communities and websites
  • Be able to implement unique influencer-centric campaigns
  • Experience with and passion for creating and developing engagement around new content types
  • Experience providing social media strategy for new business pitches
  • Ability to work efficiently on multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills
  • Must have knowledge of SEO, with PPC a plus
  • Public speaking experience a plus
