program advisor, Colorado - August 28, 2015
This is not a company you want to stay with. Advancement opportunities are limited (unless you're fantastic at selling unnecessary supplements), pay is laughable, and management doesn't care about the program advisors at all. From a health perspective the food clients are advised to eat are fantastic and it leads to great weight loss! Although the only way to make any money is by selling, and the products are average at best. If you can choke down the ethical issues of selling protein powder for $120, and caffeine pills for $135, you might do alright. The base pay is $10 an hour and commission scale can be tough to climb depending on your center. Full work days are long with a drawn out 1.5 hour lunch, this can be really unfortunate if you have to drive 60 miles to your center (yes they will make you commute even if there is a closer center). Oh and program advisors, and managers could be relocated to a new center overnight. Overall stay away from slimgenics unless you need a job immediately.
