Lead Childcare Provider, Puyallup, WA - February 26, 2014
Smart Start Daycare was a family owned business.. I was responsible for greeting each client, answering and directing incoming calls, training and observing new staff, receiving and recording payments, assisting with providing care for students and keeping the childcare areas cleaned and sanitized. The owner had very clear expectations and had no tolerance for poor attendance. This helped me create good working habits that I am thankful for today. The hardest part of this position was saying no. I loved the students, parents and staff so whenever there was a need, I had no problem stepping up to the plate. I was able to gain experience as a childcare provider while finding myself learning how the business was ran and stepping in when the owner needed. Overall, it was a Great learning experience and I appreciate the opportunity to learn as much as I did.
