Snapchef was founded in 2002 by Todd and Daniela Snopkowski. After many years of working in food service operations, Todd realized there was a major need for skilled, back-of-house culinary staffing support.
This one of a kind temporary service teaches individuals the fundamentals of cooking along with workplace safety and ServSafe food handling. Thirteen years later, Snapchef has approximately 700 employees and is a trusted provider of temporary/permanent staffing for major universities, hospitals, five star hotels, and corporate cafeterias. A few of Snapchef’s primary clients to date are Harvard University, Tufts University, Sodexo, ARAMARK, and Compass. We have a trained and experienced management team who work one on one with our clients to fulfill their specific needs.
Snapchef has an aggressive hiring plan to meet its staffing goals for 2015. “We are looking for energetic, coachable team members to fill these positions. If an individual has this but is lacking in skill, we will provide them the training they need. A positive attitude with a commitment to learn and provide excellent customer service to our clients is what an applicant needs, everything else can be taught!” said Snapchef Founder and CEO Todd Snopkowski.
Snapchef trains culinary staff for temporary and permanent job placement throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island by ensuring each staff member has the proper skill set to assist whichever culinary environment they are placed in. Skill set is determined during a two hour orientation, which is offered daily Monday-Friday, for all new Snapchefs. All new associates must attend this orientation before working in the field. If someone does not meet the benchmark, they will begin their on sight training program the next day.
Snapchef employees are trained through our Snapchef Fast Track Curriculum (FTC) and placed into work based learning with major universities, hospitals and five-star restaurants. Last year alone, Snapchef was responsible for providing over 700 people with jobs in Massachusetts’ culinary industry, a feat that earned their CEO, Todd Snopkowski, the SBA Award for Massachusetts Small Business Person of the Year. Snapchef recently opened its new headquarters in Dorchester, announced their new Snapchef Fast-Track Curriculum and their plan to hire 50 new employees immediately. – less
