Adjunct Professor, Fairfield, CA - October 5, 2017
the real reward in teaching is seeing the lights go on over students' heads. That's the real pay check. I learned that everyone is an individual, that I would never want to be a manager with the phones ringing all day, that my colleagues were funny, bright, and energetic, that the most difficult part of the job was dealing with reluctant students who had trouble believing in themselves and the most enjoyable part was teaching both Composition, and Literature, having debates, class discussions on controversial issues like gun control, that students really responded to material dealing with the environment and climate change. there's so much more. I'm writing my memoir even now with about 80 pages completed.
