Experience working in a professional services environment required (Law Firm or Financial Services)
The role is supporting the user community as a mixture of PC/Desktop (face to face support) and Network Support Tech, to analyze and resolve end-user hardware and software computer problems in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide some end-user training where required. As in many professional environments, the user community needs the support of their IT team to keep current on evolving technical tools and applications.
The role will encompass first and second level technical support for the organization. Working with the Senior Network Administrator, the position will help maintain stable operation of the in-house computer network, which includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links.
This position routinely handles confidential information, while maintaining a high level of customer service. Integrity, discretion, and respect for confidential information are absolutely essential.
BS/BA degree or equivalent required. Certification demonstrating industry expertise in is desired.
Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Systems including Windows XP/7, Office, and Active Directory.
Strong understanding of Windows 2003/2008 server, Microsoft Exchange, and Microsoft SQL.
Understanding of and support for VMWare also required for 2 remote offices
Working knowledge of Internet routing, firewall, security principles, server virtualization, storage area networks, and general IT infrastructure.
