Eb and flow of production. Then solvency
Equipment Maintenance Technician (Former Employee), Fremont, CA –
Pros: good co-workers
Cons: unsustainable product
Generally the workforce was a good bunch of people that wanted to be part of a company that was helping the environment. The problem was we couldn't cut cost to be competitive. We tried compensating by making as many panels as humanly possible which was a daily challenge. The production line because of the process was a fiest or famine affair. It was – more...  like 4 days of practically no breaks so as to make as many panels as there was modules then 5 days of no work. Impossible to even out the line. This was due in large part to a very difficult front end process. – less

It was a good place to work at. Learned about solar panels.
Co-workers were friendly. Everyone got along well. Nothing hard about my position.

Production Was either feast or famine
Equipment Maintenance Technician (Former Employee), Fremont, Ca. –
Pros: great people to work with
Cons: product cost
There were days on our 12 hour shift where there was so much work that it was impossible to take your breaks. There were it seemed almost an equal number of days where you wished there was work to do. Probably because you knew the day was coming where you probly were not going to get a break.Literally and figuratively. Many technical process issues – more...  in front end production caused us these back-end production ebbs and flows. – less
