Its a great place to work, that has a lot of potential to be successful but mis-management leads to problems.

During the last 15 years working for Sony, I handled sales for distributors, DMR accounts, internet resellers and end-users. A typical day at work, would be to greet VIPs, and visitors. Data entry, filing, typing, and taking calls from the switchboard. Arrange managers flights, when they have to travel. Working for Sony we would definetly had to be a team player, and have good communication. Fast environment, well knowledge Leads and Supervisors, friendly community, good pay and a respectful environment.

Ok place to work just for the money. Alot of people work as a team but hardly on time when work should be done which slows up other dept's.

Main duties involved receiving and processing purchase orders via data entry; billing; other clerical duties when needed.

Managers at the office were great and always available when needed. Every employee got along well at work and during off times.

Enjoyed interacting with fellow employees and clients/customers.

A typical work day consists of helping customers with any questions and purchases or electronics. During the times with no customers filling empty spots in the store, learning different promotions or new products and adjusting signs for prices changes and promotions. Everyone works as a team to make sure everyone has a great expierence shopping at Sony.

Ensure all parts are available for production and notify management of any potential delivery issues. Resolve any emergency situations with the suppliers and make sure they are fullfilled in a timely manner. I learned from management the ability to work in a fast paced enviroment and good teamwork skills from my co-workers. I enjoyed working at Sony Electronics. Very fun environment, friendly management and sales team. Hands on with products give you the ability to play and learn about new products while working and interacting with customers.

There is not culture in the company and they don't really care about you. they want to compete with apple and they are always frustaring trying to come up with the magic management and systems to beat the competition.

The Sony Local office is going through a Technological change from Magnetic Media to Flash Memory Cards. Their main core of the business was in the recording media, which has been impacted by this new Flash Card business competition. The Sony company is in the development stage of this new Flash Card business, but needs the Technology base to become – more...  a Global leader. For the most part it was a wonderful expierence. I was brought in at the middle of June 2007. Within the first week I could see that they were having problems with the now former manager. When he was let go someone who was more detailed came in. Things improved right away.

State-Of-The-Art Technical Experience Like No Other. Enjoyed learning from well seasoned instructors about the cutting-edge Sony VAIO computer technology, and trending consumer electronics products. Very inclusive Research, and Development team that valued other employee opinions on new product launches, and industry wide solutions.

Very enjoyable job. I helped to open the Destin store and had a blast selling for them for over two years. Management for the most part is decent, with some being better than others, obviously. Had they not restructured the bonus and commission rate, I would probably work there again.

Sony Electronics offers an excellent benefit package. However, production has been outsourced. But there are administrative jobs in SanDiego, CA.

A great place to work with Apple computer, Motherboards [pcb] Printed circuit boards. Dell power book laptops and games. They make play station 3 , digital camera, and etc..
