Great experience working at a big company. People at Sony are very nice. I truly enjoyed working at Sony. It is sometimes very challenging working at cross-cultural place, but it makes creative environment. Since I has to work as a liaison between many countries such as Japan, China, Europe, Brazil, and US, I acquired communication skills a lot. Like – more... other big and traditional company, Sony also has too many managers/directors and there are many internal politics around. But it was nice learning experience too. I did a lot of overtime, but it was worthy. I managed over 50 usability improvement type studies in 4 years. Great experience. – less

I had the ability to Network extensively in my most recent Sales position. I enjoyed interacting with my coworkers and accounts. The travel was a plus as I had the ability to go across the U.S. and visit areas that I may not have. This position was also one of growth. I was able to push my career in the right path.

A typical day at work consists of helping customers and troubleshooting any problems they might have. We would set up new product if it came in. I gained a ridiculous amount of product knowledge through my time with sony, not just of sony products alone but with all electronics in general. Sony has a long history of engineering excellence and great products. There are ample opportunities to expand your skills just as long as you want to work hard. It is a multicultural environment.

Everyday at Sony was full of different challenges and work so you never find yourself bored. Time would fly by because all of us were always busy but Sony employees are great team players so we could frequently meet all deadlines and goals and provide stellar service to our customers. Great brand: excellent electronic products, R&D and service organization. Times are hard, but I believe that Sony will weather the storm. Organizational changes will hopefully yield a company much leaner & more fit for global competition.

Sony offered good pay,good benefits,and time off. My hours were very flexible.

Sony has lost the technology excitement or leadership. No longer a fun place to work.

A typical day at Sony Electronics, Inc included answering phone calls, resolving customer issues, and report creation. The most enjoyable part of my job is walking into work and being surrounded by people who have the same passion of helping others. Our job wasn't done until each customer was resolved.

My day started at 8 o'clock sharp and I started out by setting up the appoinntments for the receiving team in the warehouse. Elaborate comercial invoices for the importation of the material to Mexico. A great place to work in.

I started in Engieering and worked my way into retail. There is room for education and growth within Sony.

Very busy environment and variety in work. My co-workers were wonderful and the office always had something going on. I often did the 23 sales staff they reported to my manager. This position was my favorite. Because of the busy schedule I learned how to prioritize and organize. Sony Electronics would be a better place to work if the different divisions within the organisation communicated better with each other from a management perspective. Due to bad economic conditions the company and Sony overall is going through a phase where aggressive cost cutting measure are being taken.

SonyStyle has been closed in most markets. It was a fun retail job, while it lasted.

Working for an entertainment company that not only produces beautiful electronics, but also owns the entertainment that is streamed/viewed/heard on the products opened my marketing perspective to creating marketing strategies and there tactics starting at product development all the way through to the content that run on the devices that market for.
I – more... enjoy working across and collaborating with all aspects of the business - from product development, product research, CRM, Media and Social teams to the legal team who give the final sign off. I like the challenge of delivering projects on time and within budget and then reporting back on the performance of each marketing initiative. – less

Had alot of fun working at Sony. Took 3 years to get on permanent, but was worth the wait.
