We are a small hospital in search of an outgoing, punctual, motivated team player to join our growing team. As a Veterinary Technician, duties include but are not limited to: urine and stool clean up, walking dogs, working closely with clients and in house hospital patients, cleaning kennels, filling prescriptions, going over financial estimates with clients, administering vaccines, explaining preventatives & vaccine protocol to clients, general hospital clean up and helping our team deliver the best customer service possible to our clients. You must have a great disposition and enjoy cleaning -as this is a large part of your job. You must also be comfortable interacting with clients, following directions and work well in a fast paced environment.
Ability to be confident around cats and dogs as you are exposed to a variety of pets that may bite or scratch, and on occasion, exposed to anesthesia, radiation, biological hazards and medication/controlled substances.
Must have mental processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics and language ability to perform the duties proficiently.
Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) 50 lbs or more.
One year of previous experience a MUST, certification not required.
