2016 is a huge year for our Puget Sound region's commuters as Sound Transit delivers several big milestones. Highlights include opening Link light rail service to Capitol Hill and University of Washington stations in Seattle and to Angle Lake Station in SeaTac; starting construction on East Link; completing tunnels for light rail service to Northgate; adding another Sounder trip between Seattle and Lakewood and more ST Express bus service; and bringing an ST3 ballot measure to voters in November.
Sound Transit Board Chair Dow Constantine and CEO Peter Rogoff highlighted these milestones during a media event at the future Roosevelt Link light rail station on Jan. 13, 2016.
