Fun and interesting place to work
Security Officer (Former Employee), Miami, FL – March 10, 2013
Pros: friendly and supportive staff
Cons: twelve hour shifts
Pretty laid back place of employment. As a security officer we mainly patrolled the hospital and it's grounds assuring safety and security of staff, visitors, patients, and property. It was a quiet area not much action, but plenty of interaction with people. Boosted my interpersonal skills.

As a Magnet awarded hospital, Baptist continues to and seeks excellence in patient care and satifaction. This floor managed is best with time management in order to adequately meet every patient need. Fellow employees work well together, team support is present and a must for success. Administration keeps the employees updated about current changes in – more... hospital policies and education updates. New learning experiences daily. – less

Assistant Patient Care Manager (Current Employee), Miami, FL – October 5, 2012
I run a 25-bed step down unit. I have learned that a well cultural sensitive practice is the key to better the meets of the patient’s and the staff. Management is complex, I rather be described as a leader. Teamwork is the key ingredient in having successful co-workers. The most challenging part of my job is balancing all my responsibilities and ensuring – more... the best patient care is provided. What I enjoy the most about my job is all the help I provide the patients and mentoring my staff. – less

Patient Care Tech II (Former Employee), Miami, FL – August 8, 2012
Pros: many
I used too work in Recovery Room on different shifts. I was very happy there, but one day I decided to get my transfer to Baptist Hospital which has the nursing school.I have never gotten the opportunity to start classes because the hours did not leave me.A typical day at work started cleaning the place, order the supply in the Recovery Room's medical – more... storage, transport patient to the floors, vital sign, sometime cleaning patient, work with the computer on putting doctors order, order patient's food, intake and output, watch monitors, help nurses with emergencies.I learned a lot. Especially when we used to have emergency and different experience that I have never believe happen there. Management and co-workers were best at job.The hardest part of the job was transport so many patients to the floor because it was a very busy department about 60/75 patients. The most enjoyable part of the job people around there. We were very join and understandable each other. Bosses, cna, nurses, and doctor were a team work.I would to work in a hospital like this. – less

Medical Assistant / Financial Rep (Former Employee), Miami, FL – July 18, 2012
Pros: off on tuesday and wednesday
Cons: schedule were based on cruise line ship in port of miami
a typical day began at 7:30a and end at 8:30 p, Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
I learned to be diverse and work in a fast pace. Work with many physicians of different specialties
I found that the management team was the best trained and diverse in many skills.
All my co-workers were great to work with and productive, and I still stay – more... in touch with on a daily basis.
The hardest thing about this position is the hours and being on the move the whole time.
The best thing about this job is everything else, great environment and patient friendly . – less
