South Texas Blood & Tissue Center (STBTC) is a unique, non-profit, community resource that saves lives by working with volunteer donors to provide the highest quality blood and tissue components to patients. By using cutting-edge technology, our team of dedicated professionals has helped save hundreds of thousands of lives over more than 30 years. We collect and test more than 200,000 components of life-saving blood and tissue each year from volunteers all over South Texas. We are internationally recognized for the quality of our services and research. Explore this web site to learn more about our programs: donating blood, volunteering time, contributing financially, registering with the marrow program, or becoming a tissue donor. Because patients are in constant need of blood, blood components, and/or tissue, donors are essential. It's about life.
South Texas Blood & Tissue Center is proud to be a member of the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB); American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB) and America's Blood Centers (ABC). We are also one of the first blood centers in the country to be registered by the International Standards Organization. – less–ZoomInfo
