RN, Bandon, OR - January 11, 2017
The working environment is difficult to work in because managers are replaced frequently, older personnel are discouraged because pay is lower for new grad. The ER is well staffed, the docs were excellent. There were 3 different computer programs used (two were found to be inadequate) and they are very different from each other. Company politics were the norm. Co-workers were generally satisfied, although everyone had a "bad attitude" from time to time. Most are well educated and ready to do nursing. New nurses were more tentative in there actions but frequently were able to ask for help or direction, The cafeteria closed shortly after dinner and no provisions were left for nurse consumption. The refrigerator was frequently under-supplied for patient needs. The best part of the job is that individual nurses can feel some accomplishment after caring for the patients.
