Southern Orthopedics was a love not a job for me. It was about the opportunity to care for people on an administrative level (especially the elderly. This job was never about money but being able to love on people. The greatest part of this job was being the calm voice on the phone that got the patient in the position where they knew someone cared and that that care was withing reach and not some distant appointment. I especially loved going to bat for older patients that were getting the run around by their insurance company. I have an 80 year old mother in Mississippi. I felt like if I reached out to go the extra mile for patients, that someone in Mississippi would go the extra mile for her. Our staff was amazing. We all worked together in spite of personality or difference, we just meshed. If I had to choose which physician I liked most, I couldn't. They are an amazing group, they loved and took great care of their patients and staff.
