I had a one on one interview today for the ramp agent position. I had the phone interview last week and was offered the one on one interview on the spot. This time she said they have more interviews for the next two days and they'll let me know by next week, 2 weeks the latest. I am nervous as hell.what's going to happen? What's considered a excellent driving record? Does me not having any experience working as a amp agent affect my chances a lot? I also have a reference with someone that works there for a long time how much does that help? I appreciate the help

I figured it might not be a bad idea to start a thread dedicated to the AirTran integration and what it means for both incumbent and prospective employees of both airlines. Post anything regarding this subject here.

Do southwest employees get discounts on other airline carriers to fly International (Since they dont fly International? What about Domestic (example they dont fly to memphis and I dont want to fly into Nashville can I fly on a different carrier for cheap?) If so about how much does the ticket come to?

Hi all! I got the email yesterday requesting the phone interview and so I am obviously excited! I do wonder though- are the recruiters okay with calling back if you miss their call? At my current job I am not able to be glued to my phone all day and I am so worried I will miss the call- do you think they look at that as a strike against you? Did anyone here miss the call and call them back?
Another thing I'm curious about, where was your F2F interview located? Was it at your home airport, or somewhere else?
Thanks everyone... love to read this forum!

APPLIED ONLINE FOR SWA CUST REP,RCVD EMAIL RE PHONE SCREEN ABOUT 2 WEEKS LATER/INVITED TO F2F AT END OF PHONE SCREEN/ HAD A F2F ONE ON ONE INTERVIEW,RECRUITER WAS REALLY FRIENDLY AND EASY GOING. MY INTERVIEW WAS ACTUALLY FUN! REVIEWED ALL ASPECTS OF POSITION/TRAINING/BENEFITS ETC.WITH ME. WE TALKED FOR MORE THAN AN HOUR. AFTERWARDS I WAS INFORMED SOMEONE WOULD CONTACT ME WITHIN 2 WEEKS BY PHONE OR EMAIL TO INFORM ME IF I WILL BE INVITED TO PROCEED TO THE NEXT STEP IN HIRING. I SEE A LOT OF FOLKS HAVE POSTED ON THIS SITE THAT THEY WERE DRUG TESTED/FINGERPRINTED/BG CHECKED AL ON THE SAME DAY OF F2F INTERVIEW. SINCE I DID HAVE ALL THAT HAPPEN ON THE SAME DAY DOES IT MEAN I PROBABLY WILL NOT BE HIRED? REALLY WANT TO WORK AT SWA!!!!!! I ALSO HAD A LETTER OF REC FROM A CURRENT SWA FA. ANY INFO IS APPRECIATED!!!!

Hello to everyone!
I just applied for 2 jobs with SWA a week ago. One was a Ramp Agent and the other was a Operations Agent in Denver, Colorado. I have not heard anything. I went to check the job status, and it said closed and the jobs are no longer posted. What does this mean?

Hi everybody! I had my f2f interview this past Wednesday and was sent an email with a contingent offer the very next day. I received and email from the backround check lady asking for paystubs I sent those over and I called to make sure she received them. She said she had and my application was complete and sent to Southwest. I am so excited I am going to have quite a commute at first but in the long run I think it will be worth it for my family to be able to travel for free! I hope after so long I can put a transfer in to be closer to home. The job is for a Customer Service Agent at the airport. What will happen next? How long will it be before Southwest gets back to me about the drug screening and fingerprinting?

Hello all!
I am currently a High School Senior and am graduating may 31st (SO EXCITED). I was just wondering if any of you could answer a couple of questions that I have about getting into Southwest!!
1) When a job posts up and says "interviewing local candidates only" I understand what they means but what I dont understand is when is says something like "Southwest Airlines will accept your job bid for the Baltimore Inflight Supervisor I position only if you are currently a resident of Maryland or can provide established residency in the state of Maryland." what I am confused on is can I still apply if I live in Michigan assuming that is only says the above state and not the "interviewing local candidates only"??? I am willing to move to where the job would be at then I plan on doing a transfer to Orlando and start my flight training to be a pilot!! (HMMM WHAT AIRLINE DO I WANT TO WORK FOR????) LOL
2) Also could I start applying for jobs now because I am less that 1 month away from getting my High School Diploma.
3) Is there any tips that you can give me on the interview. I am very nervious about the interview aspect of it because I have only had 2 jobs 1 at McDonalds and another at a local resturant that my former boss from McDonalds had bought, so I havnt really been to any real interviews. I know 1 thing that I am reading is to be myself and I plan on doing that :).
4) Also besides just being myself can you offer any advice on how to get NOTICED through the 800 others trying to apply!!
Thank you all for any help and can't wait to be a co-workers of any Southwest Airlines Worker.

My fiance applied for a ramp agent job. The listing closed the next day. Two days later he got an email saying respond by Monday at 5pm if you're interested in a phone interview. He responded Monday morning. The following Thursday, he got a call in the morning saying his phone interview would happen sometime that afternoon. It is now Wednesday, nearly a week later, and NO ON HAS CALLED! He's called the person he initially spoke to 3 times and has gotten no response. He's responded to the email again and NOTHING.
I'd seen all of the reports on here about unprofessional phone interviewers and am just disgusted by this. They want people to think their company is so great to work for, yet their phone interviewers can't even do their job?

I need some honest answers...I a f2f interview coming up with SW this week for a CSA position...A flight attendant friend of mine referred me as a FA recently and was apparently told that I would be called soon. Now then he went on to say that if i went through with the customer service interview, I would have no chance of being hired on as a FA. Because they will think me interviewing for CSA means I want to do that for life as oppose to flight attendant which I would much rather do. Is this true? Any advice? I really want to be a FA for SW, but I also want to get in with the company somehow....
