Nice Rural Hospital
Clinical Pharmacist (Former Employee), Georgetown, OHNovember 11, 2014
Hospital closed due to financial hardship. Prior to this, the face-to-face aspect with all staff was great. Too much change in ownership and management. This led to chaos at times, but the hospital was put in a deep hole from county ownership years ago.

New ownership doing everything to help this troubled hospital survive.
Facility Regulatory Coordinator (Former Employee), Georgetown, Ohio 45150November 11, 2014
Once a Top 100 hospital I was honored to help this hospital through very troubled times with closure being the outcome due to significant financial difficulties that could not be overcome by the latest ownership. I am very proud of them for their efforts.

Director of Wound Care/Employee Health & Clinical Education
Dir Wound Care, Emp Health & Clinical Education (Former Employee), Georgetown, OhioOctober 30, 2014
1. Business from time in until time out. Multiple issues to work out
as the hospital struggled the entire time in which I was employed.
2. I learned MANY things about rules/regulations as well as
Joint Commission Standards.
3. I worked directly under the Chief Nursing Officer
4. Co-Workers were superb
5. Hardest part was the financial struggle of the – more... company. It is now
closed :(
6. My co-workers and peers were the best part followed by the
diverse population of patients. – less

Small Country Setting
ER Nurse (Current Employee), Georgetown OhioApril 9, 2014
Small country setting with nice and polite co workers. Manager is great and tries to accommodate all employees. Slow start to the majority of mornings in the ER but takes off and rooms get filled and it is normally a busy afternoon

chaos
Registration Manager (Former Employee), Waynesburg, PAOctober 14, 2013
As soon as I started working here I was behind. The department was chaotic, I had to frequently fill in for call-offs,which put me further behind in my own work. I was not trained properly. I couldn't get any answers to questions I had, and many times, had to hunt down someone to show me how to do things.

Serious work environment with great people
Registered Nurse (Current Employee), McComb, MSFebruary 23, 2013
As the charge nurse of the cardiac unit, my day begins ensuring staff assignments and patient acuity; along with the care of the patients I have received. In a typical day, you tend to use skills that you have accumulated over the span of being a nurse, However, every patient is different and you adjust your care to accommodate the new patient and treatments – more... they will receive. Every day is a learning process of how to better help your patients and further advance your nursing career. At Southwest, persons in management are your coworkers. We all work together as a cohesive staff to accomplish the goal of bettering care for the patient. I would say the hardest part of the job would be that these critical patients lives are in my hands, with them and their families depending on me, and the outcome of which is sometimes out of your control. The best part of my job is seeing a patient being able to leave and go home with their families in better health than which they came. – less

PCT (Former Employee), McComb, MSDecember 14, 2012
Pros: free breakfast, an we had a health an fitness area.
Cons: short breaks.2
TYPICAL DAY @ WORK WHEN THE UNIT IS ORGANIZED AN NOT CAOTIC. I LEARNED HOW TO MOVE IN A FAST PACE SETTING, SUCTURE, INSERT FOLEY, REMOVE FOLEY, HOW TO SET UP ER FOR EXPECTED EMERGENCY. THE MANAGEMENT DEPT, MY UNIT SUPERVISOR WAS VERY HELPFUL, UNDERSTANDING, AN SHE SHOWED SHE REALLY CARED ABOUT HER STAFF. MY CO-WORKERS AN I DEVELOPED A FAMILY ORIENTED – more... RELATIONSHIP, WHILE @ WORK WE KEPT IT STRICKLY BUSINESS, WE PULLED TOGETHER AS A TEAM. THE HARDEST PART OF THE JOB WAS NOT BEING ABLE TO SAVE THE LIFE OF EVERYONE THAT CAME INTO THE HOSPITAL. KNOWING THAT I WAS ON MY WAY TO WORK EVERYDAY TO TRY AN HELP SAVE LIVES. – less
