Wafer Fab Operator (Former Employee) –  Austin, TXOctober 12, 2014
The best part of this job was the co-workers. I especially enjoyed the 3/4 4/3 work week. Having 4 days off was great for family/life balance. Considering my previous experience in photomasks, it was fascinating to see what happens after that step to see how the masks were used in the fab. I learned most steps of IC fabrications here and it was inspiring to me. My supervisor was very positive and respectful of everyone. He allowed us do our job without interfering or telling us how to do it.

Design/Drafter (Former Employee) –  Sunnyvale, CAJuly 28, 2014
Everyday i would survey the facilities for changes to the plant and update this in drawings. I learned a lot about different chemicals and routing the pipes to the different machines in the fabrication facility. I did not have to spend a lot of time with other co-workers; i spend most of the day alone. Hard part of the job was making sure everything was accurate. I enjoyed being in the fab around all the nice technology.
Pros
good pay, relaxing atmosphere
Cons
on feet a lot, mondane tasks.

worked hard, co-workers for the most part are really good people, management didn't reward you for what you knew or how hard you worked.

Associate Engineer (Former Employee) –  Sunnyvale, CAAugust 13, 2013
New learnings everyday on materials in hand, exciting to find
problems that could be solved immediately. Management was
pleasant to work with and very supportive. Co-workers were excellent team players. Hardest part of the job was not having
enough time in the day to accomplish more and the the most
enjoyable was when a project was completed in records time.
Pros
work environment

Wafer Fabrication Technician Specialist (Current Employee) –  Austin, TXMarch 12, 2013
Split shifts A, B, C, and D. I work D-shift (night shift 2nd half of the week, 7am to 7pm). Teamwork environment. Empowered work environment. Non-stop flow of production. Hardest part is learning toolset qualifiction procedures and making adjustments. Most enjoyable is the extra time off because of the compressed work schedule.
Pros
great benefits and good work environment
Cons
no advancement possible
