Calm desk work and project management
Marketing/Client Services Intern (Current Employee) – Auburn Hills, MI – August 28, 2014
Typical work day is coming to sit down at my desk and grab my work computer to turn on. Get some coffee and open up the email to see what stores I may be able to reach out too that one of my manager's have sent over to me the day before or that morning as well. Management is nice and helpful at all times. Co-workers come and go with school and graduating, but for the most part everyone is always really nice. I've learned a lot with Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, interpersonal relationships, oral and written communication. Basically anything you need to rise up another step somewhere else hiring that may become more interactive with your product instead of marketing over the phone and making a few trips to stores that can be an example of the retail merchandising lifestyle. Hardest part of the job can be the hours sitting at a desk and wanting something more challenging that can push you to your limits. The most enjoyable part of the job is to have my own work space and knowing that I am gaining key skills to help push along in the life of business.
paid 15 minute breaks, co workers are nice, a lot of lunch ins, and workplace events around holidays
boring desk work, feel like no one respects your skills
