The Sparks Foundation was established in 1971. Our mission is to secure friends and funds needed to enhance the lifesaving services provided by Sparks Health System. Sparks Health System exists to make life healthier for our patients and our entire community. We proudly stand in alliance with the Sparks Health System to facilitate the essential mission – more... of making the River Valley community healthier.
Philanthropy means, "love for humankind. Sparks Health System was built on this type of love. In 1887, merchants on Garrison Avenue collected $500 to meet the needs of a severely injured man and Our Community Hospital was born. One hundred and twenty+ years later, Sparks continues serving with a "heart for people," not for profit.
It is this same "heart for people" attitude that allows us to make so many caring, generous, friends-whose gifts make a difference in the health and well being of so many lives in our community.
The Sparks Foundation can help you achieve your financial and giving goals.
