  • Assist team throughout the state of Illinois in various support roles ranging from providing general office support and technical assistance to event preparation; needs to be willing to attend and assist with day-of duties at some events as needed
  • Specific responsibilities include drafting letters, preparing mailings, creating flyers and other materials for use by board and staff, running reports and creating excel documents to help track numbers and updating current documents, calendars and annual plans
  • Provide general technical help and training to team on use of common software such as MS Office Suite, Outlook, Internet and other programs
  • Responsible for Area Souvenir order, including selecting products and a producer, working with graphic artists on theme and design, managing orders and distributing to staff


  • Bachelor’s degree or 4 years’ customer support, troubleshooting, training, and research experience
  • Customer service and communication skills required, including the ability to resolve complaints and problems, work with internal and external customers in a consistently positive, friendly manner, assist others with miscellaneous jobs and serve as a resource to the state-wide department
  • Must be able to troubleshoot general computer and technical problems remotely
  • Ability to learn and retain new knowledge/skills crucial; critical thinking and troubleshooting skills necessary
  • Ability to operate telephone, photocopier, fax machine, mail machines and computer workstation
  • Extensive computer knowledge with Microsoft operating system and Microsoft applications, especially the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher; must be proficient in creating and working with spreadsheets, reports, letters and flyers


  • Knowledge of GMS, Raiser’s Edge and Financial Edge systems
  • Special Olympics experience or non-for-profit experience
  • IT tech support experience
  • Creative design experience


  • Based out of Normal, IL; M - F with evenings, weekends, and some travel as the position demands
