SpecTIR's core business is providing high resolution spatial and spectral products derived from remotely sensed data. SpecTIR specializes in, but is not limited to, the collection of airborne hyperspectral data, and owns and operates VNIR and SWIR sensors. In addition, SpecTIR has strategic alliances with firms that provide on demand LiDAR (terrestrial and benthic), aerial photography, IfSAR, and thermal data from airborne sensors. In addition, the firm has a long tradition in the analysis of data from satellite platforms, and has a great deal of experience in the fusion of airborne and spaceborne imagery.
The benefit of the multi-sensor approach includes a greater insight into the spectral and spatial content of a scene that is often not possible from single sources of imagery. Equally important, the spatial accuracy of the imagery products conforms to accepted international mapping standards, and can be seamlessly incorporated into commonly used analysis packages.
The most important advantage that SpecTIR offers its clients is the expertise in the production of high quality data sets. This process begins with client consultation to determine the most cost effective technology; and continues through collection and analysis methodology; as well as data product generation and formatting. This process is characterized through:
, Client-driven protocols for the planning of missions
, Sensor, platform and field resource identification
, Collection planning, allocation, and acquisition driven by end product requirements
, Processing of data sets to industry standard levels
, Fusion of imagery from multiple sensors
, Analysis of the multiple data sets
, Generation of products and thematic maps that conform to mapping industry standards, and can be incorporated into pre-existing geodatabase or delivered as a functional GIS
