Fantastic Job...but terrible management in the Northwest
Direct Sales Supervisor (Former Employee) – Oregon – August 13, 2017
door to door sales is a ton a fun if you have the right personality. The problem with Charter right now is that you are selling the same used car for the last 5 years. Charter in the northwest is literally so far behind in technology, makes it difficult to get people out of their current provider. The other big problem is that you have to sell either a triple play or a double play in order to get paid. And both of those require TV service. But many families are going away from TV. People just want internet only now. at charter, you are given 500 doors every month, you cant get referrals, and if you dont sell them a triple then you dont get a commission for it. Charter is basically using reps as advertisement and top-of-the-mind-awareness marketing tools. last month charter cut the payout of 98% of all reps. Reps make almost $60 less per sale. In the northwest there is only one person out of 50 that is making good money. i can go on and on about this....but i will leave it at that. Not a good time to be a sales rep at charter. This job is even worst for a supervisor. You get paid worst then reps, and work a ton more. i work on average about 60 hours a week. management rules with an iron fist, which makes everyone nervous to say anything. Its really bad....i have never been treated so badly at any position before and have always been successful at every job I have ever been at.
massive micro management, unrealistic work expectations, pay for how much you work, no family life, management rules with iron fist.
