We are looking for a medical receptionist in a private psychiatric office of 2 physicians in Frontenac, MO. Duties will include both front and back office duties with direct patient care and managing operations of the practice including AP/AR, maintaining inventory, and data entry. Candidate is expected to efficiently: manage phones, screen and schedule patients, collect payment and provide superbills, obtain vital signs and enter information into a user friendly EMR. On certain patients, collecting random urine drugs screens and dispensing medication will be required. A willingness to work with insurance companies to obtain prior authorizations for medications and helping coordinate refills with the pharmacy is needed. The candidate will be working closely with the 2 doctors in a new and growing private practice-- creativity and enthusiasm is a plus.

Applicant must be a pleasant, outgoing team player with excellent customer service, communication and computer skills. Applicant should have the ability to multi-task, and manage time effectively. We need someone who is reliable, punctual, and compassionate- esp. with regards to mental health issues. We are looking for someone with at least 2 years of experience in a medical office, mental health experience is a plus. Willingness to learn new skills is desired and will train the right candidate. Proficiency with MS Word and QuickBooks is desired. We are out of network providers; however as a value to patients, we strive to help them obtain reimbursement, so some familiarity with electronic billing is a plus.

The position is currently open for Full Time candidates. Typical hours are 8am-5pm with 1 day until 6pm; salary is $12 per hour/DOE
