Stressful job but the freedom to be your own boss on your delivery route
Delivery Driver (Current Employee) – Omaha, NE – October 5, 2017
Fill out pre-check vehicle paperwork, load vehicle in accordance to your route, make deliveries as efficiently as possible, perform in route pickups, finish deliveries, end of day pickups, fuel vehicle, end of day paperwork, transmit scan data and end of day paperwork and post vehicle check. Management helps when necessary. Workplace culture is fun with everyone dealing with same process, fun banter, everyone gets along with others and helps others out. Hardest part of the job is the stress of driving your route and obstacles you may encounter such as road construction, other drivers, county roads not maintained and trying to be as efficient as possible. Enjoyable part of the job is the freedom you have on your route once you learn it and go through it more efficiently.
Freedom to be on your own, salary, lunch on your time, Fun environment, job security
Stressful route coverage, vehicle break-downs, time off
Crew Member (Former Employee) – Fergus Falls, MN – March 31, 2015
At Speed-Dee, we always had to work very hard loading and unloading the biggest Spee-Dee delivery trucks and their vans. I learned a lot about working with people. with this job, you need to work together to get things done fast. we had two to four people in the truck unloading and two people scanning while the driver sort their mails. The hardest part of the job was getting up at 4:30am to be there and ready to start work at 5:00am and my favorite part of the just is actually the hard work and working with people.
Hours depended on how fast we worked and when we got done
Employment was ok but had high turnover on PM shift due to managment
Warehouse worker (Former Employee) – Plover, WI – November 14, 2013
Started as PT then went to FT within a few years. Benefits were good but attitudes of co-workers on second shift were not always the friendliest. High turn over in the warehouse often due to PM management.

Loadin and unloading trucks. Going out to deliver packages in multiple cities. Team players for co-workers. Management that does a great job. Treats employees fairly. the hardest part of this job was getting through multiple cities in the amount of time you have to finish. Customer interaction most fun part of the job.
CDL Class A Driver (Current Employee) – Sugar Grove, IL – December 11, 2012
I deliver product to warehouse and I have learned teamwork and experience in driving a truck. Management has always taken care of me and the co-workers I don't see too often. The hardest part of the job is I have been working 3rd shift. I enjoy seeing new sights and meeting new people.
