Spirit Airlines as a company is amazing to work for. The company itself teaches you a lot and makes you grow as person. Customer Service is one of our biggest challenges as a company, but always strive to have exceptional customer service to our passengers.

Help travelers with luggage, reservations, wheel chairs for the disabled, etc.

I learned Sabre program, participated on a 1 week training.

The hardest part is the walking, standing all day.

The most enjoyable part was being able to help customers/travelers

A&P Technician (Current Employee) –  Las Vegas, NVAugust 22, 2017
Fun to work, people are nice and coworkers also. Management willing to work around your schedule and always helpful if you have a question. Hardest thing is having all the planes come in at once and you have to balance on which ones to do first.

Customer Service Agent (Current Employee) –  Hollywood, FLAugust 8, 2017
the only reason I would recommend someone to work in this establishment was because of its flexibility, other than that I wouldn't recommend it. I don't want to speak negatively. If you need flexibility I would recommend it, other than that, it should be at the bottom of your list.
Pros
flight benefits
Cons
low pay, disgusting customers, racist manager

Could be better
Customer Service Coordinator (Current Employee) –  Fort Lauderdale, FLJuly 31, 2017
The work culture is not bad. Everyone seems to get along and work as a team to ensure that their departments do well and the work environment is fun. While the team spirit is apparent, the salary is structure is horrible. Managers seem not to be interested in reviewing this. The employees are at times required to work long hours with no overtime compensation. Not good. How can a CSR earns $30k annually is considered salary, and not paid overtime. What about the FLSA, which states that employers must pay overtime (time and half) for work beyond 40 hours in a week if they earn up t $913 per week or $47,476 annually. Salary is non-negotiable and no raises. If these things are looked into, then Spirit Airline would be a great place to work.
Pros
Free flights when it can be taken or received
Cons
Horrible pay scale, no overtime, no raises

If you enjoy the industry and the travelling opportunities then it's a great place to work. The benefits are comparable to other organizations. Generous 401k plan. Can be a challenge for people without great customer service skills.

This job is for the strong only. The passengers are ready for you to make them pay for something so they can yell at you. The supervisors don't seem to care.
Pros

Being a Flight Attendant isn't for everyone!
Flight Attendant, DFW International Airport (Current Employee) –  Dallas, TXJune 16, 2017
You must be willing to work long and ever changing hours. Gone from home 1-6 days or even more at a time. In the beginning not completely in charge of your schedule.
Great benefits, fly free!
See amazing places.
Wouldn't recommend for a parent, especially a single parent.
Pros
benefits (health and flight), travel, fun job, flexibility
Cons
never home, hard to balance work and home life, relationships are hard with this job, does not pay a lot, all about seniority, long hours, stress on body

An ok job for someone who needs flight benefits ONLY
Customer Service Agent (Current Employee) –  Fort Lauderdale, FLJune 15, 2017
Spirit always posts mandatory for employees who work the night shift. Meaning if your shift is from 5pm-9pm, don't expect to go home at 9pm. You always have to stay for operational needs. Sometimes you leave at 2am-3am. The management is horrible, supervisors don't help at all. The communication is horrible, some don't even know what they are doing. They only hire part time employees starting out because it's only convenient for them. You don't get much but flight benefits and a check.
Pros
Flight benefits
Cons
No health benefits, no PTO

CSR - Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) –  Tahlequah, OKJune 15, 2017
You sit and get yelled at for you're entire shift. It takes a toll on a person and the customers of Spirit Airlines are just rude and can't accept that it's a cheap seat for a cheap butt

Customer Service Agent/ Gate Agent (Full time) (Former Employee) –  Atlanta, GAJune 7, 2017
Great job however you do not work directly for the company which means no flight benefits. Workplace can be dangerous at times and the company offers little to interest in maintaining the safety and security of their employees.
Pros
Descent Money
