Do you work at Sprint? How did you find the job? How did you get that first interview? Any advice for someone trying to get in?

Every business has it's own style. What is the office environment and culture like at Sprint? Are people dressed in business casual, jeans and t-shirts, or full-on suits? Do folks get together for Friday happy hours and friendly get-togethers? What is a typical day in the life of an employee at Sprint?

I went to an interview on Monday, and was explained that the manager wasnt available to interview me and that I would be interviewed by someone else(the person that explained). I felt the interview went great. My interviewer was friendly and seemed interested. She asked for a resume so I handed in 2 copies along with reference list. She told me the manager would be back wednesday(today) and gave me his business card. During the night of my interview I sent a thank you letter to his email that showed my appreciation, interest, and qualities. Today I called the store to follow up again but was told that he was with a customer so I was asked to leave my name and number. I would really want opinions on this situation. I'm really interested in this job plus it complements what I major in. I am also new to applying for such a large company so I don't know what expect. Your advice is appreciated :)

I worked for Sprint for about 8 years. I was a Legacy Nextel employee. After the merger things got bad at the company. Nextel was attracting about 30,000 customers per month. When Sprint took over they drove away 80,000 customers per month. Its now 4 years into the merger and sprint is still loosing over 50,00 customers per month. Also, Sprint lost $911 million dollars in the last quarter (Sept-Dec 2010) Anyway, After 8 years of helping customers and maintaining the companies customer satisfaction goal I was let go for not making the goal for 3 months in a row. Sounds fair? I was not offered a package. To be let go for not meeting performance goals for 3 months in a row after meeting them for 8 years was unfair Sprint could have offered me a severance package, after all I spent 8 years working for them. So you see? They don't care about you. Thinking about working for Sprint? Think again.

I have applied at Sprint for several positions. Currently, 4 resumes say "Under Review" and 3 resumes that I just sent yesterday say "Under Consideration" which I have noticed always say that when I first submit my resume and then the status will change a couple days later. But, yesterday I got an email asking me to enter my previous employment history, education and criminal history. I have applied for several positions before and I have never gotten this email. So, generally speaking does this mean I might get an interview? Does anyone know the step by step process for getting a job at Sprint? I have submitted my resume, gotten and email to verify my employment and gave permission to do a background check. Next, do I get an interview?? Any help please!!!! Thank you.

I was wondering if anyone had any tips or information on how to get a job at the sprint store. I applied on the website about two weeks ago and I have been constantly checking my status update on the site as well. I did pass my assessment so as soon as I saw that bit of information I went down to the store to speak with the manager. He was busy when I went down there so the rep informed me that they were going through a freeze and that it should be lifted soon. I left a copy of my resume with her and she gave me a card with his name on it, told me to call back and she would give him my resume. Its been two weeks now and I have called, but everytime I do call he is in a meeting or some conference call. I really do want to work here, but I do not know what to do. I don't know if I should keep calling or just give up and wait for them to call me. I am very interested in working for this company. Does anyone work for the company or have any information on how I could get in or what I should do. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

I am interested in possibly working there however I know Sprint is laying off left and right. They are still posting jobs though for the Charlotte call center. Are they hiring or is it a waste of time?

What are the average starting salaries, bonuses, benefits and travel requirements like at Sprint? What do you like best about working at Sprint? Are there any great perks or special treats for employees?
