Typical days consisted of receiving aircraft repair queries, determining a response for these queries, producing reports, producing technical drawings and closely working with maintenance engineers.
Hardest part of the job was mapping the entire underbelly of a commercial aircraft and the exact locations of several hundred repairs. This project was done through AutoCAD and was extremely rewarding once completed.
Learnt a great deal more about aircraft, structures, standards, AutoCAD, Excel, Word and working in a professional environment.
Co-workers were both helpful and generous with their time. I never felt like there was a question I could ask that would be deemed an irrelevant or unimportant query.
