The client always comes before the SS&C employee. No matter what.
They know the east coast, but they recently expanded to the west coast and it's been a disaster. They lifted out employees from the client out here and they all left. There is no leadership in the LA office and they continue to put band aids on issues.
The client holds the leash out in the LA office more than in most situations because the client is very high value. You would think with a client so important that they would provide a path of training and have an actual manager on site. They don't. The management team is on the east coast and doesn't know anything about what goes on day to day.
The hardest part of the job was that management didn't have your back in tough situations. They would throw you under the bus in trying times. It's a me first mentality and a lot of yes men in positions of leadership.
I enjoyed some of the people I worked with. Most were just there for a paycheck.
