Challenging field
Staff LPN (Former Employee), Alexandria, La. 71301January 8, 2014
Pros: relationships
Cons: driving
Busy days at this job, learned many things with regards to death & dying. Co-workers were good for the most part. The most enjoyable part of the job is bringing comfort-physical,mental,spiritual-to patients badly in need of it. The hardest part was saying goodbye to these patients

Very busy and high paced
Field Nurse/Case Manager (Former Employee), Lafayette, LAJanuary 9, 2013
Pros: freedom
Cons: on call and overtime
It was a good company to work for, but very busy. Lots of on call and overtime. It was hard working with people that are dying on a daily basis, but it felt good knowing you were helping a family through a very difficult time.

Pt care very enjoyable
In the RN (Former Employee), Gautier, MSOctober 14, 2012
Pros: friends and the families
Cons: micro-managing
Have seve4ral pt's scheduled to see - take care of calls; be available if there is an emergency - death; pain control; pt out of control-anxiety; terminal restlessness; psych issues; etc. I learned to care for someone until the end - how to deal with pt's and families; etc. My co-workers were like family and the best - gave the care needed as planned or as asked. Hardest part is usually dealing with the families esp. while in
denial. the most enjoyable part is the relationship with pt and the family and getting the pt to end of the life comfortably and peacefully.

management: Not satisfactory
Co-workers - nervous
the hardest part of the Job, sitting in the office
the most enjoyable part the the job is being with Pt and the families
