From 1900-0000 or later passing meds, doing assessments, settling pts in for bed. 0000-0300-Tends to slow down, but still have meds, catch up on charting, assisting pt with personal needs. 0400-0500-Try to finish charting. 0500-0700-Pass meds, assist pts with needs.

I have learned how to take charge and do leadership duties,
– more... such as assignments. I am a preceptor and now teaching new nurses. I have certified in BLS, Port-a-cath access/de-access, Cath flo for central lines. Strong Epic user, knowledgeable about electronic charting.
My co-workers work hard and assist when in need. My co-workers are very knowledgable.
Hardest part of job is constant lifting, turning, pulling on pts. As well as, getting all duties done due to pt load.
Most enjoyable part of job is working with patients and family to make them feel better. I enjoy having time to communicate and learn more about the pt. – less

Trauma service does not value the opinions of employees especially therapists. The md over the rehab department will not talk to new employees and does not like to converse about the patients progress in fear of interferring with business. Assistant director of Therex lacks experience and makes inappropriate judgments but presents with overfidence limiting her ability to effectively manage.
